We recently sat down with our gaming connoisseur Drew to learn a little bit more about what our bowling lanes offer.
Punch Bowl Social actually has 3 different bowling games programmed into the bowling system. All are 10 pin games.
There is the traditional bowling game with 10 pins and 10 frames of bowling, referring to the number of turns each player takes. Great for everyday bowling or working on improving your bowling score.
Additionally there is a shorter bowling game with 10 pins and 5 frames. This is a great option for when you have a bigger group, or it's busy and you want to get through several games before your reservation is up.
Then there is the Grand Prix. This is a 10 frame, 10 pin game, 2 player racing game. The game incorporates each players bowling score with racing cars. The higher the score, the faster the car moves. To win, you have to bowl a higher score to cover a greater distance.
In order for this to work you have to play side by side in separate lanes. It's great for off peak hours when there isn't a wait list for bowling lanes. It also makes a great game for kids birthday parties. Overall, a fun way to spice up an otherwise regular bowling game.
To play the various games offered at Punch Bowl Social, just ask your games master to set it up when you grab your bowling shoes. They can switch the settings for you.
